SOLAR PARKS

SOLAR Partner specialises in

•  Commercial roof systems from 250 kWp upwards
•  Outdoor solar farms from 2 MWp upwards

Investors should choose locations with care. There are very different legal regulations in different countries concerning remuneration for solar power.

Different tariff groups apply for roof and outdoor systems. The sun radiation values for the respective region are of the greatest importance for the plant’s current yield. Sun maps for all European regions are available to assist assessment. These values must be checked before a final decision is taken.

Apart from the calculated annual return, other monetary, political and subjective aspects which under some circumstances outbalance the calculative reasons play an important role in the choice of a location.
These are for example:

•  The long-term political stability of the state and the government
•  The reliability of the local organs – security, corruption
•  Approval procedures – speed and cost
•  Currency risk and external financing
•  The investor’s political motives

Solar farms are connected to grid after their completion, and run usually for 20, 25 or more years. During this time, they provide a fixed predictable income. Completed solar parks, are therefore typically orientated to long-term investors, such as insurance companies, banks, investment companies and trust funds. The financing is usually operated with a capital share of 15% to 30% equity, the rest debt is represented by long-term loans or leases.

The safety-oriented investor tends to invest in completed operating installations, already connected to grid. This avoids the risks of the permits and licenses due diligences and the construction process. He also benefits from the readjustment of possible defects and optimizations that are performed while first operating in the beginning months.
