Spain has validated the new RDL 14/2010. After months of uncertainty the Government has confirmed the photovoltaic tariffs for grid connected solar parks.

Generally, they have limited the cap of solar production hours in kWh for the installations regulated by this legislation. The limits are defined by 5 production areas and are realistic in their majority.

In case the solar plant produces more kWh than the legal established by the cap under the new regulation, the energetic overproduction is to be sold at market price.

Those installations connected to grid by the RD 661 with a FIT of 0,47 € are subject to an additional restriction of 1,250 kWh for 3 years; in compensation they will have the right to additional retribution from 25 up to 28 years.
